Things have been so crazy around here that this is the first chance I've had since yesterday to give a progress report on the house. The walls and ceiling are 80%drywalled and all the electrical is roughed. We left a portion open while we finish some duct work with the stove hood. The guys (Brian and Andy) taped and mudded this morning.
Yesterday Andy spent the majority of the day laying down backerboard for the tile floor.
Last night the guys laid the interior section of the travertine flooring until around 1:00am.
Today has been hectic as our appliances arrived (not w/out error...our 30 inch hood was 36 inches!) and we had the air ducts cleaned and the carpets cleaned in the basement. Its been a long afternoon of complaining from the kids since they have to stay off the carpet for the rest of the evening. How will they survive one day without toys or TV!
Hopefully we'll get some cabinets put in tomorrow. We're also getting new carpet installed upstairs tomorrow afternoon. Brian and Andy have been a huge help to say the least...we would be a week behind without them! They are leaving tomorrow evening after rushhour. I don't know if Brad will be fired up and motivated after they go or if he'll be so sad to be solo that he'll want to stop the long days. We're all running out of steam
