His 2nd Marathon!

Yesterday Brad ran his 2nd marathon! This race was in downtown Philadelphia and had a pretty backdrop in the art museum!
Brad was running with our friend, Ryan King...here are my girls with the two King girls waiting on their daddies to run past.
So excited to see Daddy and show him the sign she made!
Brad texted me once or twice on the run so I knew that about mile 20 he was starting to struggle. Baileigh had the idea of finishing the run with him to help encourage him to the finish line.
As he past us with half a mile left Baileigh jumped on the course and helped keep her Daddy motivated!
Crossing the finish line hand in hand...the big smile on Brad's face is from the comments made on the PA by the race announcers about his young running partner.
So proud of our Daddy!
Ryan and Brad...both finished with great times and should be proud of all their hard training and their race day results!

Turning 9!

Last Monday and Tuesday Baileigh celebrated her 9th birthday with a sleepover. She didn't have school on Monday or Tuesday due to teacher in service and conferences so it worked out perfect! On Monday she had two friends over for an afternoon agenda that she created by herself. Her first request...to play "Just Dance" on the Wii with her friends.
Her next request was to go bowling!
When did my baby get so big!
After bowling she asked to go to Ci-Ci's for pizza and then home for cake. I made a sleepover cake and each girl was pretty excited to see themselves on top of the cake.
After cake the girls opened presents and went downstairs to play and watch movies until way after bedtime. In the morning Baileigh asked for monkey bread. Since this was her actual birth day she had to wear the official family birthday hat.
We took her friends home mid morning and went out to lunch. Brad took a day of leave and Nana was in town so it was extra special for Baileigh. She asked to go to Cheeseburger in Paradise...
The highlight was birthday dessert nachos!

Halloween Festivities

Halloween weekend was busy...preschool parades, Halloween class party, Trunk or Treat at our church, trick or treating...busy!

Nana was in town so she got to be a part of all our activities.
On the 30th our church hosted a trunk or treat...this is a big annual event that attracts more than 5,000 people from the community! This year we were an eclectic group...a painter, little red riding hood, a bride and our little giraffe. Brad and I were the black eyed "P"s...get it?
My crew...
The sweetest giraffe being so silly...
It was a beautiful night...a little windy but temperatures in the 50's and a gorgeous sunset.
