Baby Audrey Caroline

Today I learned of a blog created to follow the journey of a family dealing with the heartbreaking news of their unborn babies impending death. I've spent the better part of the past hour ignoring the piles of laundry and dishes on the counter as I've read their emotional story. I went to the same small Christian high school with Todd, the father...and possibly better known as part of the group Selah. If you want a background to the blog and to their story then read their first post back in January. Yesterday their baby girl, Audrey Caroline, was born. Yesterday, after a few hours with her family, she went home to be with the Lord.

Having known Todd, and being the same age and parents of 3 young girls as well, I found their story heart wrenching and at the same time a testament to God's grace. There are a few other blogs that I follow (Confessions of a CF Husband and Leslie's Journey...see sidebar) that also chronicle the trials of families dealing with insurmountable odds yet giving God the glory through their daily struggles. I hope that I'm drawn to following these stories not just for a human interest aspect but because I'm encouraged by the strength of other believers and I'm humbled when I see how trivial my difficult circumstances truly are in light of some of the situations other people face. I guess I post about these blogs in hopes that you will take the time to read a little about their stories, lift them up in prayer, and be reminded, as I am, that God is bigger then our comprehension regardless of the circumstances.

I am so thankful that HE is bigger than our understanding!

I knew of the CF blog but didn't know of baby Audrey, thanks for sharing. I'll be lifting them up in prayer. It is so confusing why these things happen, but I continue to look to Him and keep the knowledge that even though I can't comprehend these things, God does and there is purpose. As Jenn said above, I too am so thankful that HE is bigger than our own understanding.
