Friday morning I had a little free time with the girls so we went to the Long Beach Aquarium and met my friend, Angie and her two sweet girls. The fun thing about being in the AF is that you have friends across the US...the world actually. Angie's husband, Brandon, is one of Brad's best buddies from the academy and they will be moving to the DC area this summer, too. We're looking forward to being neighbors.
When Baileigh is around other younger kids she acts like a small babysitter. You would think she doesn't have any younger siblings. Here she is explaining to my friend's daughter, Anne, that she shouldn't be scared of the big whale because it isn't real.
Angie, Anne and Baileigh hoping to feed the birds.
Finally, a bird lands on Baileigh's arm...I was relieved since a butterfly never landed on her when we went to the Botanic gardens earlier in our trip and she has pouted about it ever since!
Brooke and Ann petting the sharks and sting rays. Well, maybe just splashing in the water.
After the aquarium we had to say good-bye to our friends. I took the girls out to lunch along a marina. I think the majority of their hot dogs went to the pigeons.
Afterwards we discovered a carousel and decided it was a great way to end our afternoon.
