Woo-Hoo

Date night. Double Date. Six Flags. NO CHILDREN! Fun. Fun.

We're not obsessed with Six Flags...but the daily ticket rate wasn't much more then a season pass. So with that said, we bought the pass and now we're trying to get our monies worth!

Since Nana is in town we took advantage of the free babysitting and went out on a date night and asked our great friends if they wanted to join us for the fun. The crowds were light and we were able to walk on the majority of rides. The only negative was temperatures in the nineties, despite the fact it was about 5:00pm. Once the sun set it cooled down a bit but was still muggy.

We got to ride all the big coasters. I don't think I've been on any rides unless they were accompanying one of the girls. This park has the Kingda Ka the tallest, fastest roller coaster on earth. This ride breaks all world records for coaster speed and height, zooming from 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds and catapulting you 45 stories into the sky. It literally took my breath away. The other great ride of the night is their Superman which has you laying horizontal to the ground. We sat in the first row which enhanced the experience because you couldn't see any other riders. It was a scary sensation to be laying down instead of sitting in a car.
I broke out the camera on this ride because we're actually stuck...for about 5 minutes. At least we had a nice view of the sunset while we were stuck.

Hey-

Love the pigtails! So cute! My mom looked at the pictures from Philly and was upset with me that we didn't take pictures of each family individually (too late now :) so she could figure out who the kids went with. She thought Brooke was Chris & Cami's. I'll never forget your Guatemalen baby picture! Let's not wait 3 years to do this again. Hope you got the pictures I tried to email you.

Lisa

P.S.-Hope things are better now than in last week's post

Sounds like a BLAST. Bill and I absolutely love rollercoasters too and hadn't been on one together until our recent Disney escapade. Six Flags double date? Awesome. Weren't you nervous about the Superman ride after the recent news report?
