Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day by doing a bunch of nothin! We went to church this morning (which isn't "nothin"...but you know what I mean), then out to lunch and back home to relax and spend some time together as a family. The girl's have an incredible daddy and it was fun to spend the day just having fun with him.

We finished the night by taking a walk after dinner down to the tennis courts. Baileigh really wants to take tennis lessons so we're trying to teach her some fundamentals before we consider investing in lessons.

The dogs came along and were quickly worn out chasing tennis balls. Of course Ranger, and Brooke, found the only puddle on the court and cooled off! Check out the shoes. Always. On. The. Wrong. Feet. ALWAYS.

Working on her serve and concentrating on the ball.
Two very tired (and happy) dogs and their girls.
Our time at the courts ended quickly after I found three ticks on myself. We live in a very wooded neighborhood and ticks are a constant problem. They aren't that bad in our yard since we spray specifically for ticks, but apparently the tennis courts in the woods is crawling with ticks! We headed home and stripped everyone down for an impromptu aquatic decontamination session. Everyone took a shower or bath, including the dogs and received a head to toe tick check. We only found one in Brooke's hair...but that is one too many in my opinion! It wasn't the way we had intended on ending the evening, but everyone went to bed very clean, and hopefully tick free!
