YAHOO-Girl's Weekend

In less then two hours Tricia and Shelly will be landing in Philly for the start of our girl's weekend. These are the two childhood friends that I blogged about in our previous post.

We've had this weekend scheduled for months. After Tricia's Dad passed away last week we weren't sure if this weekend was going to happen, we left it up to her...her mom encouraged us to go and we all decided it could be exactly what Tricia needs!

This afternoon we'll take the train to Penn's station and mosey to our hotel . Thanks to Shelly's husbands frequent travels we get two complimentary nights right in Time Square! SWEET! We have a loose itinerary, but we have made plans to have fall tea at Tavern on the Green tomorrow in Central Park, take the ferry ride to Staten Island, and see Mary Poppins on Broadway. Of course there will be shopping and eating! And the icing on the cake is that our weather finally turned from 80 degrees in mid October to the appropriate highs in the mid 60's! It should be a beautiful fall weekend.

Hey, I'll be there next weekend...if you're looking for a fun place to go after your show...try Don't Tell Mama's

It's a piano bar on W. 46th st and so much fun. You can volunteer to sing, or just sing a long with everyone else.

See ya later!

Wow. So sorry to hear about Tricia's dad, but glad to hear you are getting her away for a fun girls' time in NYC. Again... pure envy here... I would LOVE to see Mary Poppins on Broadway!!! I love her... always have. I sing songs from that movie to Mary - "It's a Joly Holiday with Mary!" : ) HAVE FUN!!! Hope it's healing for Tricia just to be with the women who love her.
